Senior Operations Engineer-0809223
Description
The Senior Operations Engineer is responsible for development,
analysis, and execution of commercial-scale manufacturing processes.
Specifically this individual will focus on mid-volume medical device
consumables and the planning and execution of experiments designed to
characterize and optimize manufacturing processes for yield,
reliability and cost improvement. Additionally, this individual will
be responsible for planning and executing process and equipment
validations required to ensure robust and compliant manufacturing
processes. This individual will troubleshoot production line problems
and write/maintain production documentation, which includes
manufacturing, test and standard operating procedures. The Senior
Operations Engineer will also lead and/or participate in
cross-functional teams for the development of new products, and/or the
improvement or transfer of existing products.
Qualifications
A minimum of an Engineering Bachelors Degree is required. A
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree is preferred. A minimum 5
years of mid to high volume manufacturing experience is required.
Experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment is
preferred. Demonstrated experience and aptitude in troubleshooting
manufacturing processes and equipment is required. Specific experience
with blow-fill-seal, ultrasonic welding, ink-jet printing, automation,
and/or precision liquid filling is preferred. Proficiency with
Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, & PowerPoint is
required. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio and/or MiniTab is
preferred. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma/Process Excellence Training
and/or Certification is preferred.
Experience in introducing new products to manufacturing or
transfer of existing products to new locations is highly desirable.
Experience writing and executing process and equipment validations is
highly desirable. Experience leading cross-functional teams is
preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills are
required.
This position may require up to 10% Domestic and International Travel and is located in Irvine, CA.
